Or you can view the Oculus Quest User Manual.

Setting up the Oculus Quest play area

To use a Roomscale play area, you'll need a safe and unobstructed space of at least 6.5 feet by 6.5 feet (2 meters by 2 meters). If you have a smaller space than that, you can still use Quest in Stationary Mode.

Adjusting the Oculus Quest headset

  1. Loosen the side straps and then the top strap.
  2. Starting from the back, put on your headset.
    • Make sure to pull the back strap down until it cradles the base of your head.
    • If you’re wearing glasses, put on the headset from the front first.
  3. Tighten the side tabs and then top strap.
    • Make sure that the straps aren't too tight. The headset should fit comfortably and not apply too much pressure on your face and head.

Adjusting your view

  1. With your hands holding both sides of your headset, slowly move your Oculus Quest up and down until the picture is clear and the headset feels comfortable.
  2. If you wear glasses, insert the glasses spacer into your Oculus Quest headset prior to using it.
  3. If the image in your headset isn't clear, you can use your left thumb to move the image slider on the left of the bottom of your headset to the left and right until the image is clear.

Connecting the Oculus Quest to Wi-Fi

  1. Press Oculus icon on your right Touch controller to pull up your universal menu.
  2. Select Oculus settings icon (gear).
  3. Select Wi-Fi.
  4. Select the Wi-Fi network you'd like to connect to.
  5. If prompted, enter the password for the Wi-Fi network you'd like to connect to.
  6. Select Connect to connect to the Wi-Fi network.

Using the Oculus Quest glasses spacer

Before you wear your Oculus Quest 2 or Quest with glasses, check to make sure the width and height of your frames are the following sizes:

  • Width: 142mm or less
  • Height: 50mm or less

Once you've made sure your glasses are the right size, insert the eyeglass spacer into your headset to provide a larger fit. To insert the eyeglass spacer:

  1. Gently remove the facial interface foam from your headset.
  2. Take the available glasses spacer and attach it to your headset by pressing it into place where your facial interface foam just was.
  3. Re-insert the facial interface foam back into place on top of the glasses spacer.
  4. When you put on your headset with glasses, put it on from front to back.
  5. When you remove your headset, pull it forward and then take it off.

Powering down the Oculus Quest

When you aren't wearing your headset:

  1. Press and hold your power button for 10 seconds.

When you're wearing your headset:

  1. Press and hold the power button until you see a shut down menu in VR.
  2. On the shut down menu, select Power off.
