NAU History Resources in Special Collections and Archives: Photographs

Photographs

Official photographs of people and activities on campus have generally been created through the university's marketing and/or public affairs offices. Over the years these offices have been merged and the task of taking official photographs of people and activities was delegated to many different individuals. Special Collections and Archives also historically accepted and currently accepts donations of photographs depicting Northern Arizona University from alumni and other community members, many of which have been added to the Northern Arizona University Photographs. Smaller, specific collections of photographs may be or may have been processed and organized separately.

As of 2022, the bulk of photographs in the Northern Arizona University Photographs have not been fully processed or digitized by SCA staff.

Please review the finding aid below to learn more about photographs available for on-site research in Cline Library's Meriam Lamont Reading Room.

Contact the department at least three weeks in advance to request access to partially processed photographs.

A small selection of photographs from the Northern Arizona University Photographs have been selected, digitized, described, and made available through the Colorado Plateau Digital Collections.
