While your professor will give you specific requirements for writing your annotated bibliography, here are some general thoughts on what to include.

• Do more than summarize, critically analyze each source
• Include a brief description of the work
• Comment on the work's usefulness or quality
• Comment about any special features of the work (i.e. graphs, charts,etc.)
• Include the author's credibility or expertise

There are several different ways to write an annotated bibliography.  Your instructors will provide you with specific instructions and guidelines for your annotated bibliographies.
