Celebrate MLK Day

At NAU

This year’s theme is “MLK's Echo: celebrating the impact of voice.n” and echoes NAU's goal to elevate excellence by committing to educate, support and empower students, staff, faculty and our NAU community. We encourage you to take time during the MLK Holiday to reflect on the life, legacy and impact of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as well as the social justice issues that continue to need our attention.

  • Read a book by Dr. King or one of the many books about Dr. King written by Black authors.
  • Listen to one of his many speeches.
  • Take a virtual tour of the MLK Jr. National Historical Park in Atlanta.
  • Engage in meaningful conversations with others about Dr. King, the Civil Rights Movement and social and racial justice.
  • Visit The King Center for information and resources.
