Research Foundations

Setting up your Document Delivery account

  1. Click on the link to Document Delivery Services on the library's homepage.
  2. Click the link to Request Materials, then log in with your NAU or CCC User ID and current password.
  3. The first time you log in, you’ll be asked to register for a free account.
  • You must register using your NAU or CCC email address.
  • If you live in Flagstaff, set your Preferred Loan Delivery Method to Hold for Pickup. (This means you will need to come to the Main Desk to pick up print books or other physical items you ordered; if you order electronic articles, you can download them through your DDS account.)
  •
If you live outside of Flagstaff, set your Preferred Loan Delivery Method to Mail to Address and enter your mailing address. (This means that print or other physical items will be mailed to you; if you order electronic articles, you can download them through your DDS account.)

Requesting an item NAU does not have

  1. Login to your Document Delivery Account
  2. If you already have the citation for the item you need, use the Make Requests menu on the right-hand side of the page. If you need help filling out the fields, please see How to read a citation or Ask Us!
  3. Confirm that your requests went through by checking to see if the item you just requested shows up in your Outstanding Requests list. If not, try requesting the item again or contact Document.Delivery@nau.edu.
  4. Download electronic items (articles & chapters) using the View Requests menu on the right-hand side of the page. These items will be stored in your DDS account for 60 days only, so you must save them to your own storage space.
  5. Pick up print or physical materials from the Main Desk if you live in Flagstaff, or if you live elsewhere, these items will be mailed to you. Request a renewal of physical items (books, media, & dissertations) using the View Requests menu on the right-hand side of the page.
