What is a Primary Source?
Primary sources are information sources created during the time period you are studying. This can include letters, correspondence, diaries, documents, interviews, photos, speeches, legal documents, treaties, art works, poems, newspapers, videos, radio and television programs.
In contrast, secondary sources interpret, analyze or evaluate primary sources and are written after an event has taken place.
