Fundamentals of Engineering Exam

This guide is made to help engineering students prepare for their FE and PE exams

Strategize

  • Look at the number of problems in a given area
  • Work hardest on the most critical areas and those you feel you can master
  • Don't try to study everything in one night! Make a plan for studying over a span of time and review what you have already studied as you go.

Look through the equation book

  • Be familiar with what is in it and what the equations mean
  • If an equation looks totally foreign, seek guidance on that concept from an instructor

Focus on the fundamentals

  • Don't worry about a very specific case or obscure equation. You are unlikely to get that problem.
  • Often the obscure cases are the most straightforward because the equations are very specific.
